DART Pro Software Reviews & Comments:
"IF THE RECORD WILL TRACK YOU CAN FIX IT. Virtually unplayable records with more noise than music will clean up without artifacts. You're in control with user adjustable filters, etc. Great Program."

Pros: If you can get your record to your harddrive this program will fix just about any problem. Virtually unplayable records with more noise than music will clean up without artifacts. You're in control with user adjustable filters, etc. Great Program.
Cons: Nothing. I have 7000 LPs, some beat up thrift store purchases, and everything I've thrown at this program has been stunningly transformed into usable, great sounding CDs. Don't expect to not have to think, though. Think, listen: you'll get it right.

"DART Products are tremendous. I was so pleased with the old Paul Whiteman acoustic recording of "Tell Her in the Spring" Time from 11-1924 that I had to share it. OK I committed the sin of reverb, but boy it sounds good. After the normal restorations (declick, dehiss, dehum) I adjusted the pitch downward, then equalized. I tried some of your spatial effects with reverb and wow! Enjoy something from 86 years ago."

"I've used it [DART PRO 24] recently to de-crackle some old LPs, remove some loud hum from a wedding tape, and to remove airplane noise from a bird recording. All the clients were delighted! Great product."

Speaking of restoration.....
The other thing that is going to make this "second go around" at the
Resurrection Series a breeze, which I was not considering while I was
on the floor puking my guts out over this disaster, was the new Dart
Pro 24 software. This software upgrade was also released since the
Resurrection Series project was first started two years ago. In the
past we were forced to use both Diamond Cut Live and Dart Pro to
complete total sound and vinyl restoration. With the release of Dart
24 - a much more refined and powerful version of Dart Pro, eliminates
the need for two restoration programs, cutting our processing time in
half. Those of you who are still on PC <clearing throat> check out
Dart 24 - it's the bomb!"

"Great stuff! … I just wanted to let you know that the new Dart really is great to use and has allowed me to make some big improvements in the Russian choral LPs I've been working on. All in all, though, this version is great. The frequency split and mask noise together make it possible to take out very specific kinds of background noise with ease. Seems like the DeHiss has been improved somehow too, but it's hard to say how."

From Razormaid Email Newsletter:
OH MY GAWD! Wait till you guys get your hands on the new Dart Pro
24. This new version actually makes restoration fun! I have no idea
what new algorithms they are using for all the modules (de-hissing,
de-clicking, noise print, etc...) but this thing blows away the
competition and then some.
Seriously, we have tried to release that Cristina track (which is now
on the new Class X-23) for the past 4 years, but could never get it
sounding good enough to actually put it out. For the last 4 months
or so we had been beta testing Dart Pro 24 for Andy and the boys at
Dart's tech department. Oddly enough, in all that time I never
thought of running the Cristina through DP24 until Richard showed up
and starting clicking on every music file on my computer that I did
not have locked down. When I heard it play, I immediately
thought of Dart Pro 24, but did not actually process it until Richard
left, as we were cramming to get CX-23 finished before he left.
As you can clearly hear by this recording Dart Pro 24 REALLY works
and without the need of Diamond Cut Live 6 too (the "other"
restoration software). In the past, in order to get things sounding
really perfect, it took both DC6 and Dart Pro XP to obtain the
results worthy of a Class X release. Now, with the new Dart Pro 24
you can kiss good old DC6 good bye forever! I am so happy we waited
on the Cristina track, but ever happier DART contacted us to beta
test, otherwise I would have never known how much better it is.
I know that many of you were looking for a program that could do "one
step" processing... well here it is. It takes a few minutes to setup
the multi stage process they call "Filter Builder", which allows you
to run multiple modules at the same time and test it in various parts
of the song before committing. But we have setup instructions for
that process, making that a "non issue".
...
PC users - don't bother... just buy DART PRO 24 and end the madness.
I promise, you will NOT be disappointed. Also, keep in mind
we offer free tech support on this product for those who need it from
time to time. Here is the link to try out Dart Pro for free and
hopefully purchase it as well:

I noticed that they still sell Dart Pro XP for just $99.00, but I
would shell out the bucks and get Dart Pro 24. I know it's a little
pricey ($299.00) but if you are dead serious about restoring your
vinyl to pristine quality and would like to keep your hair in the
process, just cough up the money and shut up already. So you skip
drugs for a weekend. Isn't having your $10,000+ vinyl collection
restored worth a a drug free weekend? I think so.
